About Us
  • Reel People was formed in January 1999.
  • The aim being to raise funds to put on a fishing match to celebrate the Millennium.
  • The event was called "Celebration of Angling" Millennium 2000.
  • The Celebration of Angling event has remained the flagship on our match calendar
  • Reel People covers the Eastern Region and has members from the following counties: Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.
  • The work of Reel People has been regionally and Nationally recognised, winning awards from the Sports Council, The Borough Council of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk and in 2006 Rob and Tina were summoned By Her Majesty the Queen to Buckingham Palace to attend a reception to celebrate the work of volunteers.

  • Taster and come and try days for individuals, clubs and day centre's.
  • A comprehensive match calendar, Spring, Summer and Winter.
  • Coaching and first aid training for members.
  • Christmas meal and A.G.M.
  • To celebrate our first 10 years a DVD has been produced by Sub-Urban to commemorate this landmark in our history and all members will receive a copy of this free of charge.
  • A website to promote the club and keep members informed.

  • A flexible approach to members needs and angling in general.
  • Training opportunities for members to gain Level 1 & 2 coaching certificates.
  • Developing close links with other clubs in our region.
